Privacy

Privacy, in plain words

What this site collects, why, and who else handles it. The short version: only what I need to work with you. Nothing is sold, and nothing is used for ads.

i.

Reading the site

You can read everything here without an account. I count visits myself: the page, the site you came from, your country and language, and your device and browser type. Your IP address isn’t stored; a one-way code that changes every day lets me count visitors without identifying anyone. Vercel Web Analytics also counts visits the same way. No cookies are used, and nothing follows you across other sites.

Like any web host, the server keeps short-lived technical logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site secure and working.

ii.

When you write to me

The contact form sends your name, email, project type, budget and message to my inbox. It is not stored in the site’s database.

I use it only to reply and to talk about your project. It stays in my email for as long as the conversation is useful.

iii.

When you use the free tools

When you use one of the free tools, I save what you entered (a web address or a domain), a summary of the result, your language and your country (worked out from your connection). This shows me how the tools are used. Your IP address isn’t saved; a one-way code that changes every day lets me count visitors without identifying anyone.

To run its speed test, the address is also sent to Google PageSpeed Insights.

The IP lookup tool sends public IP addresses to IPQuery, RDAP services and RIPEstat, and queries reverse DNS separately. Results are held in server memory for up to five minutes, but the IP you look up is not saved in tool usage records. “Check my IP” contacts ipify from your browser. Shared report links include the IP address.

iv.

When you create an account

Accounts are for clients using the portal. Sign-up asks for your name, email, phone number and a password. The password is stored only as a secure hash, never in readable form.

If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email and profile photo with me. You can also add a profile photo, a passkey or two-step verification. To protect your account, each sign-in records its IP address and browser.

I use your email and phone number to run your account and reach you about your project. Never for marketing.

v.

The client portal

Projects, milestones, messages and invoices are stored so we can work together. Only you and I can see your project.

Payments happen on PayPal or Wise. Your card and bank details never pass through this site.

vi.

Cookies

Only the cookies the site needs to work: one that keeps you signed in, one that remembers your language, and a short-lived one that limits how often a verification email can be resent. No advertising or tracking cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner.

vii.

Who else handles your data

A few services help run the site: Vercel (hosting and analytics), Neon (database), Resend (email delivery), Cloudflare (storage for uploaded images) and Google (only if you sign in with Google). Their servers may be outside your country.

I don’t sell your data or share it with anyone for advertising.

viii.

How long I keep it

Your account data stays while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in Settings. That removes your profile, sign-in methods, sessions and portal projects, including messages and invoices.

Copies of invoices I have already sent may be kept where the law requires it.

ix.

Your choices

You can change your name, email and photo in Settings, and delete your account there too. To get a copy of your data, correct something or ask any question, write to me. I’ll reply in writing.

x.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
